Essential Duties and Responsibilities:


Responsible for managing the IT portion of a client data transformation (conversion) from initial investigation through the full programme life cycle. Manage and deliver conversion projects, comprising:

Create and document the conversion strategy
Estimate effort, skills and resources
Plan project in Clarity
Assign tasks to resources (not responsible for assigning resources to project)
Overseedata mapping exercise, ensuring all queries are tracked and resolved
Oversee production of conversion specifications maintaining version control
Develop overalldesign and architecture of conversion programme suite
Looking to re-use existing functionality wherever possible
Building re-usable code and procedures
Liaising with clients
Liaising with development teams
Planning mocks and dress rehearsals in conjunction with Programme, Service Deliveryand Data Centre
Ensuring quality of conversion suite including holding quality inspections
Directing and motivating rest of team
Ensuring source and target systems balance
Creating initial implementation plan and ensuring it is fit to handover to Service Delivery and Data Centre
Ensuring new JCL and amendments to existing JCL are created and handed over to Service Delivery and Data Centre
Following First Data practices including raising of CMRs, completion of PMRs and Test Director Logs
Identifying Test Region requirements
Identification of Risks and Issues, managing local ones and escalating others to Programme/Project Manager
Continual process improvement
Monitoring and reporting progress, chairing progress meetings
Input/attendance at Steering and Governance meetings.Key Skills / Qualifications / ExperienceCommunication Skills Spoken and Written fluency in Spanish and English Ability to communicate openly and effectively in both written and verbal form.Industry Knowledge

3 - 5 years experience in the Cards industry including conversions to new processing platforms. In-depth understanding of business processes within portfolio.Project Management & Leadership

Consulting experience & analytical skills. Ability to make information based decisions (includes the ability to make decisions based upon little information and to deal effectively with ambiguity). Internal and external decision making experience with senior managementTechnical & Platform Knowledge

Minimum of 10 years IT experience of which 3 years should be in conversions. Knowledge of Microsoft Windows, COBOL, Mainframe applications, IBM JCL, and TSO. Knowledge of architecture/technology needs of the organisation based on business priorities, strategies, goals, and economic viability. Demonstrated analytical capabilities within both strategic and detailed forums. Experience with, and knowledge of VisionPLUS Highly developed analytical and problem solving skills, and meticulous attention to detail including the ability to analyse data from different platforms in order to integrate the data into the Vision Plus platform.
